Building two-word phrases during play

Five minute routines that turn 'car' into 'red car' and 'more juice'.

Pick one toy your child already loves. Sit facing them so they can see your mouth.

When your child says one word, say it back with one more word added. 'Car' becomes 'red car'. 'Juice' becomes 'more juice'.

Aim for five expansions in five minutes. You do not need to make your child repeat you.
