Picky eating or a feeding concern?
Signs that mealtime struggles are worth a feeding evaluation.
Most toddlers go through picky phases. Concerns rise when a child eats fewer than 20 foods, gags often, or loses weight.
Coughing or wet-sounding breathing during meals should be discussed with your pediatrician right away.
Cultural food preferences are not picky eating. A good evaluation asks about the foods your family actually eats.
